Badges are most commonly used in the automotive and bicycle sectors, but high-quality household appliances and consumer electronics are also enhanced with this technology. Screen-printed flat metal foils are shaped into three-dimensional parts. During the shaping process great pressure is put on the inks and most conventional inks are unable to withstand this without cracking. Parts that have already been shaped are finished with pad printing.
In both processes the inks have to be sturdy and durable. In addition to light and weather resistance, the inks have to have an exceptionally high degree of chemical stability to ensure that the emblems continue to shine bright for many, many years. We offer badge manufacturers standard ranges of top quality inks for screen and pad printing, as well as technical support in the development of new formulations.
