Before World War II the renowned paints manufacturer Springer & Moeller founded a subsidiary company in Bern.
1933
Relocation to Zurich. Begin printing ink production facility.
1940
Offset ink are developed and produced.
1945
The company is purchased with new Swiss ownership. The first flexo printing inks are manufactured and the paints division is discontinued.
1961
The company is renamed and the new company name Printcolor documents the specialization in printing inks.
1967
Relocation to a new, larger factory in Mutschellen (near Zurich).
1968
Screen printing ink is developed, extending the product range.
1969
Export markets are developed.

First foreign licensing agreement.

The profit centers are turned into independent companies, together making up the Printcolor Group.

Acquisition of the gravure printing ink domain and the newspaper of the company Trilacolor by Printcolor Zofingen AG.
