Printcolor today announced the foundation of Squid Inks AG by July 1, 2014. The new company emerges from the Dutch “Squid Inks BV”. The cooperation allows Printcolor and Squid Inks to perfectly use synergies which strengthens both companies in the markets of screen, pad and flexo printing.
Squid Inks AG will appear as an individual brand under the umbrella of Printcolor group. Synergies primarily arise in regards of Sales, R&D and Technical Service which will be fully integrated in Printcolor’s processes.
For Marc Bär, CEO of Printcolor Group, the cooperation with Squid Inks will strengthen the position of Printcolor as a manufacturer of high performance inks. „Squid inks fits perfectly to Printcolor. Thanks to the cooperation, we can use synergies and add high quality products to our existing product range“, says Bär. „Additionally, Markus Hieronymus, the founder and CEO of Squid Inks, brings in valuable experiences and a broad knowledge.“
Squid Inks BV has been founded by Markus Hieronymus and Henk Scholten in the Netherlands in 2005. The company is specialized in UV inks, coatings and adhesives for industrial, graphic and technical applications. Similar to Printcolor, Squid Inks develops customized solutions in cooperation with customers. As of July 1, 2014, the headquarters of the newly-founded Squid Inks AG will be in Berikon, Switzerland. The Dutch company Squid Inks BV will be liquidated.
